After your guide shows you to your 2-person, electric buggy, buckle up and get ready to discover the Eternal City’s top attractions and most iconic landmarks! If you are a non-European driver, remember you will need an International Driver’s Permit, in order to drive your buggy!
Begin with a visit to the historic Castel Sant'Angelo, followed by St. Mary’s church in the charming neighborhood of Trastevere. Continue zipping through the streets of Rome, as you make your way to a magical hidden keyhole, followed by breathtaking views of the city from the Orange Garden. Castel Sant'Angelo
From the comfort of your cozy buggy, follow your friendly guide to your first breathtaking stop of the day. Your journey through Rome begins at Castel Sant'Angelo (St. Angel’s Castle), located in Parco Adriano. While this jaw-dropping, cylindrical building is now a fascinating museum, it was originally intended to be a mausoleum for the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and was later used as a fortress, castle, and prison.
St. Mary’s in Trastevere
After snapping a few photos of the captivating Castel Sant'Angelo, hop back in your buggy and zip along the majestic River Tiber as you make your way to the idyllic neighborhood of Trastevere. What if I have concerns about my mobility on this tour?
While this tour does not require much walking and should not be a problem for most mobility concerns, our buggies unfortunately cannot accommodate wheelchairs.
What happens if it rains?
We run our buggy tours rain or shine!
Is there any chance my tour might be canceled?
On the rare occasion the tour is canceled, we'll inform you as soon as possible. We will work with you to reschedule your tour when possible or provide a full refund.
Is there a dress code to enter the religious sites on this tour?
You will not enter most sites on this tour, however, depending on the lines on the day of your tour, there is a chance that you will go inside St. Mary’s church in Trastevere and the Pantheon. In this case, we ask both men and women to cover knees and shoulders, otherwise you might be refused entry, and you’ll miss out on a portion of your tour. We understand the summers in Rome can be hot, so a great alternative is to bring a shawl/scarf/sweater with you. That way you can cover your knees and shoulders when necessary.
How comprehensive are the Colosseum and other portions of this tour?
In the spirit of seeing as much of Rome in one day as possible, all sections of this tour are abbreviated more than our dedicated Colosseum or site-specific tours. You'll still get to experience all the most important elements of these impressive attractions though.
Is lunch included in the price of the tour?
No, but you'll have a break to find delicious food, and your guide will be happy to recommend one of their favorite spots.
Can I bring my kids and do I have to pay for them?
Yes, kids are welcome on our buggy tours! Since these tours are priced per buggy, rather than per person, the price does not change for children.
Does this tour include hotel pickup?
No hotel pickup is included on this tour. You’ll meet your guide at the designated meeting point on Vicolo d’Orfeo.
Where does this tour end?
This tour ends back at your original meeting point, in Vicolo d'Orfeo, where you’ll drop off your buggy. You’re welcome to stay in the area and explore as long as you’d like!
