Please Note: This tour includes a 30-minute roundtrip train journey from Rome. Guests will have free time after the guided tour to explore Ostia Antica independently before returning to Rome with an open train ticket.
Tour Changes: The guided portion of the tour lasts approximately three hours, followed by free time for independent exploration.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at Cafè Piramide so the group can depart on time.

What happens if it rains?
We run our Half-Day Ostia Antica Tour from Rome rain or shine. If the weather is extremely bad and we cannot proceed with the tour, we'll let you know as soon as possible.
Is there any chance my tour might be canceled?
On the rare occasions the tour is canceled, we'll inform you as soon as possible. In case of unforeseen problems with public transportation system, a minibus will be provided for roundtrip transportation. The meeting point won’t change.

While there is not a specific dress code, you will be expected to be wearing appropriate clothing to enter establishments. We also recommend wearing clothing you'll be comfortable walking in.
Do the ruins of Ostia Antica ever experience sudden closures?
During adverse weather events or due to maintenance or safety reasons, the ruins of Ostia Antica may be closed unexpectedly and without much notice. If this occurs, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Is lunch or dinner included in the price of the tour?
Food is not included in the price of this tour. We recommend enjoying a filling breakfast before joining. However, if you do get hungry, there is a cafeteria within Ostia Antica where you can purchase food and drinks.
Are drinks included in the price of the tour?
Drinks are not included in the price of this tour. We recommend bringing a water bottle with you. Alternatively, you can purchase drinks at the cafeteria within Ostia Antica.
Can I bring my kids, and do I have to pay for them?
Yes, everyone is welcome on our Half-Day Ostia Antica Tour from Rome. Infants (0 to 3 years old) are free and we charge a discounted rate for children (4 to 18). Please choose accordingly when booking and don’t forget your children’s ID card. We regret that we are unable to accommodate pushchairs or strollers on this tour.
Does this tour include hotel pickup?
Hotel pickup is not included on this tour. You'll meet your guide at Cafe Piramide, conveniently located next to the Roma Porta S. Paolo station.
