According to Greek mythology, the island was known as Eea and was famously mentioned in Homer's Odyssey. It was here that the enchantress Circe lived, casting spells to transform sailors into animals and enchanting women into sirens. This mystical past adds an intriguing layer to the island's allure.
But don’t get too swept away by the island’s laid-back vibe. Your adventure is just beginning, and there’s another boat waiting!

Free Time at Ponza’s Port & Return to Rome
Back on solid ground, the next hour’s yours to unwind and explore Ponza’s Port independently. Savor a creamy gelato, sip a refreshing spritz while enjoying the unhurried pace of the island, and tuck into boutique shops to find your perfect keepsake. Just remember to keep an eye on the time—at 5:30 pm, it’s all aboard for a boat journey back to Anzio. From there, hop onto the comfy, air-conditioned bus for your return to Rome, with an expected arrival around 9 pm. It might be late, but with Ponza’s magic still fresh in your mind, you'll find it hard to wipe that smile off your face!

Fast ferry tickets from Anzio to Ponza and viceversa are not included. While bus transportation to and from Anzio and the boat tour around the island of Ponza are included, the tickets cost 60 euros per person. You will need to pay for these tickets on the day of your tour during check-in.
What if I have concerns about my mobility on this tour?
If you have any doubts about your mobility, please let us know beforehand. This tour includes walking on uneven streets and navigating on and off boats. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate guests with wheelchairs.
What happens if it rains?
If the weather is extremely bad and we cannot proceed with the tour, we'll let you know as soon as possible.
Is there any chance my tour might be canceled?
Due to the unique nature of this tour, last minute cancellations due to traffic, strikes, weather and other force majeure events might happen. If this happens, we'll inform you as soon as possible and work together on rescheduling or on a refund.
Is lunch or dinner included in the price of the tour?
Yes, a pasta lunch will be served onboard. You will also have free time before and after your Ponza Island cruise to purchase a snack or a light meal.
What if I have food allergies, intolerances, or other dietary requirements?

Are drinks included in the price of the tour?
Yes, wine and water are complimentary with lunch on the boat. However, other drinks will need to be purchased separately.
Can I bring my kids, and do I have to pay for them?
Yes, everyone is welcome on our Ponza Island Full Day Tour from Rome. Infants under 2 years of age join for free, please let us know about this in advance.
Why do I have to pay for my child who's under 13 years old?
We do charge a discounted rate for children aged 2 to 12. This is because there is a limited number of seats available, and everyone must have their own seat for safety reasons. Infants under 2 years of age can join for free.
Does this tour include hotel pickup?
Hotel pickup is not provided for this tour. Please meet your guide in Piazza di Porta San Paolo 1, in central Rome.
