Your tour begins at the Colosseo metro stop
Meet your guide just outside the metro exit, where you'll join a small group of travelers ready to explore ancient Rome. No need to worry about those intimidating ticket lines, you're skipping straight to the front.

While regular visitors stand in line for hours, you'll walk right through a special entrance reserved for small groups. The moment you step inside and see the massive arena stretching out before you, it hits you just how huge this place really is.

First and second levels of Colosseum
Standing where Rome's richest citizens once watched gladiators fight to the death is surreal. Your guide brings the brutal spectacles to life with stories about how 50,000 screaming fans would pack this place on game day.

Palatine Hill
Legend says this hill is where Romulus founded Rome back in 753 B.C. Today you'll wander through the ruins of massive palaces where emperors lived in ridiculous luxury—one even had a private chariot-racing track inside.

Good to know:

Dress Code: Comfortable attire and shoes are recommended for walking on uneven terrain.
Accessibility: This tour involves ancient ground and uneven terrain. It is unfortunately not wheelchair or stroller accessible. A soft baby carrier is recommended.
ID Requirement: Please bring a valid government-issued ID for entrance into the Colosseum. The name on your tickets (entered at check-out) must match the name listed on your government-issued ID or you will be refused entry.
Tour Changes: Depending on the assigned entry time for the Colosseum, your tour might enter the Roman Forum first and end in the Colosseum.
Bag Policy: The Colosseum allows small to medium-sized bags, but large backpacks, suitcases, and wheeled bags are prohibited and must be left behind. All bags are subject to security screening, similar to an airport.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can enter sites on time.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate when presenting the ancient history of these 3 Roman landmarks: The Colloseum, Roman Forum and Palantine Hill. (Allesandra). As soon as our group met we skipped the line and moved quickly to start the tour. ( So worth it!) This was one of our favorite tours while in Rome for the first time recently.
