You'll access one of the areas of the Colosseum restricted to the general public and regular tour groups. Everyone should feel like a VIP on vacation!

There's plenty more to see in the Colosseum. As part of this 3 hour tour, you'll be taken around the first and second level of the ancient amphitheater as you learn about gladiators in ancient Rome.
There's a lot more to ancient Rome than the Colosseum. Next stop on this guided tour is to the epicenter of the ancient Roman Empire - the Roman Forum.
As you walk on the same roads once trodden by Emperors, you'll visit sights like Julius Caesar's temple and the famous arch of Titus.
Your guide will explain how and why a group of women were responsible for keeping a flame eternally lit in their sacred temple.
You'll be shown the statues of the Vestal Virgins that stand in the garden of the temple, as you're told about why these women were so highly respected in ancient Roman society.
This is the biggest triumphal arch in Rome. At 21 meters high, it celebrates Emperor Constantine's victory over Maxentius and reminds us of the Emperor who legalized Christianity in Rome.
This building was so significant in ancient Rome. You'll see the exterior as your guide explains how some of the most important decisions in ancient rome were made here.
Buildings that still stand in the ancient Forum remind us of some of the greatest men that ever lived, like the Temple of Antoninus & Faustina. But who were these characters in ancient Rome?
This is a marvel of Roman architecture. Towering above all other buildings in the area, it is hard to miss the ruins of this incredible cathedral. Your guide will take you to see it!
Before finishing you'll visit this Arch inside the Forum. Here, you'll see one of the earliest carved reliefs of the Menorah. Your guide will explain the Jewish Rebellion against the Romans in 70AD.

If you are looking for a tour with access to the Colosseum Underground, we have you covered! After visiting the Arena Floor, our English-speaking local tour guide will show you the Roman Forum.
The entire tour lasts for 2.5 hours and includes the following.
If you are looking for a smaller group, consider our Colosseum Underground Tour.
Avoid the crowds as you walk out onto the coolest restricted area of the Colosseum – the reconstructed Arena Floor. Travel back in time as you trace the footsteps of gladiators. Facing death at the hands of a human or animal opponents, gladiators fought surrounded by 60,000 screaming spectators. As you are shown the opening to the reconstructed trap door, your imagination will go wild, as your professional guide describes the types of wild animals that also once contributed to the Colosseum's popularity and significance in ancient Roman society.
Get your Cameras ready! The Arena Floor is the best place in the Colosseum for photo opportunities. Our guided tour includes plenty of time to take pictures of you acting like a victorious gladiator to show your family and friends back home. And while you pose, members of the general public will look down at your tour group and wonder “How did they get there?”. This is because the Arena Floor is not accessible to regular Colosseum ticket holders. Don't forget to ask your tour guide to take a picture of you inside one of the most famous structures in the world.
After the Arena Floor, your professional guide will take you on a journey to the Colosseum's first and second levels. See where Emperors sat and learn the rules of the gladiatorial games for both competitors and spectators. You’ll learn why the ancient amphitheater was named “Colosseum” and much more. Our tour guide's mission is to make the history of the Colosseum’s come to life with colorful descriptions and visual aids. After spending a total of 1.5 hours inside of the Colosseum, you will begin your guided Roman Forum tour.
The Roman Guy’s Colosseum Arena Floor tour includes Roman Forum tickets and a guided tour of the ancient ruins inside. All our professional guides are trained as both Colosseum and Roman Forum tour guides. This area, also referred to as the "Ancient City", is a Roman archeological site that was once the location of downtown Ancient Rome. Visit some of the most famous Roman Forum buildings, including the Temple of Julius Caesar, Arch of Titus, the Roman Senate House and more. Relive ancient history as you walk down the same roads taken by famous Roman Emperors and philosophers.
When your Colosseum Arena Floor with Roman Forum tour concludes, you have free reign to wander around on your own. She was extremely knowledgeable I did this tour yesterday with five of my friends while on vacation in Rome. Raffa was our guide and she was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and has such a sunny personality. We were only spending an couple of days in Rome before moving onto to other parts of the country so it was important that we didn’t have to wait in a very long line. With our tour, we were able to walk right past the ticket line and right the into the coliseum. We were really glad we chose this tour as well bc it combined the coliseum with the Roman forum. If we had done it on our own we would have had no idea what we were looking at. Thankfully Raffa explained everything to us. She even recommends fabulous gelateria to check out after our tour which was so delicious!..more
