Best Hotels in Rome with Rooftop Terraces, Bars, and Restaurants
Everyone loves a good view, right? There aren’t many views like the skyline in Rome due to 100s of basilica domes scattered across the skyline. This is why I love a hotel with a rooftop terrace. You’d be surprised at how even affordable hotels in Rome have rooftop access with great views! Check out the best hotels in Rome with rooftop terraces, bars, and restaurants!

Navona Queen Rooftop
€€€ | 4 Star | Piazza Navona | Rooftop Bar & Lounge
Navona Queen rooftop is a nice little gem. Really great prices and in a location that I love. The rooms are updated and comfortable which makes it an easy choice for the prices. The rooftop bar & lounge is pretty cool and they even have a hot tub which could come in handy after a long day of touring.
If you are looking for an expansive rooftop to spend some time on, this is likely to be my first choice. The hotel is actually affordable and the views are amazing!
Eitch Borromini Palazzo Pamphilj
€€€€ | 5 Star | Central Location | Piazza Navona | Rooftop Bar
Looking for a truly magical Roman experience? Look no further since Eitch Borromoni is a hotel literally built into a side of a 17th-century Baroque church overlooking Piazza Navona.
The accommodations are lavish, but not without “ancient” charms. You’ll find wooden beams running through most rooms and classical finishes. It also features one of the best rooftop bars & restaurants in all of Rome.
Monti Palace Rome
€€ | 4 Star | Monti & Colosseum | Rooftop Bar
Personally, I don’t love hotels on main roads but this one is good value. Price is low and the facilities are updated and clean. Other than being located on the main road, the location is very good. Monti is a very cool neighborhood in Rome with lots of restaurants, bars, and action. You are just a few steps from the Colosseum and other cool monuments.
The price hovers just above $200/night in the highest of high season which makes it a great value for me. I don’t think you can go wrong here.

The Glam
€€ | 4 Star | Rooftop
Hotel Glam is centrally located in the middle of Via Nazionale between Piazza Repubblica and the Foro Imperiali. The rooms are sleek and highly curated with a contemporary design. The sleek and modern feel of the rooms is in stark contrast to the bright and sunny terrazza Monti. Breakfast, lunch, or aperitivo on the terrazza offers fantastic views of Rome.
Hotel d’Inghliterra Roma
€€€€ | 5 Star | Spanish Steps | Fantastic Location | Rooftop Restaurant
Hotel d’Inghliterra is a wonderful hotel right near the Spanish steps but tucked away from all the commotion. While Hotel de la Minerve shares a similar description, I much prefer this location and Hotel d’Inghliterra also has a great rooftop restaurant.
Singer Palace Hotel
€€€€ | 5 Star | Spanish Steps | Modern & Classical Roman | Rooftop Lounge
The Singer Palace Hotel is an amazing recently updated hotel that combines classic Italian style with Roman design. It is slightly less expensive than hotels like the Hotel de Russie, but equally as nice. It is simply less “grand” which makes the price less grand.
Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel
€€€€ | Trastevere | Modern Concept Hotel | Rooftop Lounge
I personally don’t know what “modern concept hotel” means but this place is pretty cool but that comes with a price-tag. For me, this hotel is a little bit over-priced, but for a particular type of traveler that wants something unique and different, it’s perfect.
The rooms are beautifully designed, obviously clean, and the outdoor spaces are some of the best in this price range. It is tucked into a very “local” part of Trastevere that is well connected to the best nightlife in the center. I actually lived a block down from this hotel for years and had some of my fondest memories in this area.
Sina Bernini Bristol Hotel
€€€€+ | 5 Star | Central Location | Piazza Barberini | Rooftop Bar & Pool
Sina Bernini Bristol is a classic and beautiful hotel in Rome which attracts VIPs from all over. It has a magical rooftop bar & restaurant which is host to amazing views. It is in Piazza Barberini, which is a heavy vehicle traffic area, but it is just slightly back off the street with its own small driveway.
This allows you to get out of your vehicle in peace and not worry as much Roman vehicle traffic. The rooftop bar is home to an amazing little pool which is nice in the summer especially if you have children.
Hotel Valadier
€€€ | 4 Star | Piazza del Popolo | Rooftop Bar
Hotel Valadier is my personal favorite hotel in Rome because it is a great hotel with fantastic prices in the perfect location. It has a “Great Gatsby” design mixed with classical Roman finishes including rooms with antique beams and grand paintings.

Otivm Hotel Rome
€€€ | 4 Star | Piazza Venezia/Jewish Ghetto | Rooftop Bar
I really like the price, location, and condition of this hotel. It is literally right in the center of Rome. You can walk to basically any monument in the city which for me is key. You also can easily walk to all the best restaurants, bars, and nightlife.
The only negative is that Piazza Venezia has a ton of vehicle traffic and a small bus depot which makes it one of the loudest parts of the city day and night. That said, the hotel likely has taken that into consideration and installed windows that keep out the noise. They are tucked back a little bit from the main piazza as well so you may be safe from the noise. I personally enjoy keeping my windows open in Italy but the center of Rome is generally which makes this issue difficult to avoid.
Grand Hotel de la Minerve
€€€€ | 5 Star | Central Location | Pantheon | Rooftop Bar
Grand Hotel de la Minerva is just off the southeast corner of the Pantheon and is known for large lavish rooms, great service, and an amazing rooftop bar & restaurant.
It is a great choice for a stay in Rome because it is in the center of everything yet somehow in a quiet area. Just close enough to the action in all directions but far enough to sleep well with the windows open. The rooms are known for being spacious and luxurious! Many rooms have frescoed ceilings and finishes that are easily a few hundred years old mixed with modern furnishings.
