Customer Reviews
We had such a great experience during our private tour. Our guide really knew what he was talking about and gave u many interesting facts and anekdotes. Would definitely recommend!
Fredericko is an excellent guide. He did a very nice job laying out what we could expect on the tour. However, a short time after our tour started on the palatine hill looking out over the forum, he was informed that there was a power outage and we were unable to enter or use the bathroom. He made a great pivot and took us around the outside of the forum from the street looking in. He obvious depth of knowledge and experience allowed him to carry on and do the best he could. We were disappointed not be able to go into the forum and also disappointed that we were not compensated for not seeing more than half of the tour. The explanation from the "tour guy" company was zero for us. We are in Rome for a short time. First time in Europe and on a trip of a lifetime. The lame olive branch from the company was that we could go into the forum on our own later in the afternoon. Our days are fully booked with other activities and I didn't see the notice that we could reenter the forum. The whole reason for booking a guided tour for nearly $300 was so we could learn about the history of this amazing place.
