While much of the temple now lies in ruins, there is still impressive evidence of its grand days. Listen as your guide details its origins as a dedication to the goddess Juno, a deity known for being the protector of the Roman realm, women, and matrimony.

Next, you’ll proceed to the Heracles Temple, the oldest temple in the valley. Here, you’ll delve into tales of Hercules’ bravery, heroism, and far-ranging adventures. Although time and a devastating earthquake have left their marks, eight massive columns still stand, offering a glimpse into this temple's awe-inspiring past.

Temple of Concordia

Continuing along the Agrigento Valley of the Temples, you'll soon reach the well-preserved Temple of Concordia. A striking example of Doric architecture, its magnificent columns exude a sense of equilibrium and balance, fitting for a structure dedicated to the Roman goddess of harmony. Plus, it looks all the more remarkable as it glows in the soft light of the setting sun.

Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Porta V
