It's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you'll soon discover why it's considered one of the finest examples of ancient Greek civilization art and architecture.

Juno Temple and Heracles Temple

After meeting your guide and fellow group members near the Porta di Giunone, you’ll set off toward your first destination—Juno Temple. While much of the temple now lies in ruins, there is still impressive evidence of its grand days. Listen as your guide details its origins as a dedication to the goddess Juno, a deity known for being the protector of the Roman realm, women, and matrimony.

Next, you’ll proceed to the Heracles Temple, the oldest temple in the valley. Here, you’ll delve into tales of Hercules’ bravery, heroism, and far-ranging adventures. Although time and a devastating earthquake have left their marks, eight massive columns still stand, offering a glimpse into this temple's awe-inspiring past.

Temple of Concordia

Continuing along the Agrigento Valley of the Temples, you'll soon reach the well-preserved Temple of Concordia. A striking example of Doric architecture, its magnificent columns exude a sense of equilibrium and balance, fitting for a structure dedicated to the Roman goddess of harmony. Plus, it looks all the more remarkable as it glows in the soft light of the setting sun.

Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Porta V

Last but certainly not least, you'll come across the grand Temple of Olympian Zeus. Originally, it was meant to be the largest Doric temple ever built in order to celebrate the city's victory over the Carthaginians at the Battle of Himera. While it was never fully finished and lies in ruins today, there's no denying its grandeur. Close by, you'll also discover the Porta V, one of the ancient entrances to the city that symbolized the unique connection between humanity and the divine.

As your trip winds down and darkness falls, you'll return to where you started the tour. You can expect to wrap up around 7:00 pm, leaving you with plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your evening.
