Your tour begins in Montmartre
Meet your guide at Abbesses Metro Station in Montmartre and get to know the group before you set off. You start the day in one of Paris’s most character-filled neighborhoods, where café corners and steep streets hint at the hilltop views ahead. -
2
Explore Montmartre on foot
Stroll Montmartre’s cobbled streets as your guide shares how this former village became Paris’s artistic enclave. Along the way, spot local landmarks like the Wall of Love and the Moulin de la Galette, plus the quiet corners most visitors walk right past. -
3
See Sacré-Cœur Basilica from the outside
Make your way up to Sacré-Cœur for sweeping views over Paris and a closer look at the basilica’s bright exterior. Hear the story behind this landmark and why Montmartre’s hill has long been a magnet for painters, writers, and musicians. -
4
Take the metro to Île de la Cité
Next, ride the metro with your guide and get comfortable moving around Paris like a local. In under an hour, you arrive on Île de la Cité, the historic heart of the city where medieval Paris still feels close to the surface. -
5
Walk the Notre-Dame area and Île de la Cité
Take in Notre-Dame Cathedral from the outside and learn what makes its Gothic façade so influential, from its sculpted portals to its famous flying buttresses. Your guide also walks you through the cathedral’s long history and the restoration story that continues today. -
6
Hop back on the metro toward the Louvre
Then, hop back on the metro for a quick journey to the Louvre. Metro tickets are included, and your guide leads the way so no time is wasted hunting for the right line or dealing with the ticket machine. -
7
Take a lunch break near the Louvre
Pause for lunch near the Louvre (at own expense). Ask your guide for recommendations; they know the best spots around. -
8
Tour the Louvre Museum with timed entry
Head inside the Louvre for a guided highlights tour that helps you make sense of this massive collection. See must-sees like the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and Winged Victory, plus major French masterpieces. -
9
Your tour ends inside the Louvre
Your guided visit finishes inside the Louvre, so you can keep exploring on your own if you want. With the layout and key works fresh in mind, it’s easy to choose a wing and slow down for the pieces that interest you most.
