Your adventure begins in the heart of Paris, in front of the Church Notre-Dame de Compassion, where you'll meet up with your guide and fellow group members and hit the road to Giverny. After an hour drive, you'll find yourself at the Fondation Claude Monet, roaming the estate's fabulous garden and touring Monet's house.
Next, sit down for lunch at one of the many cozy eateries in Giverny before continuing to the Palace of Versailles. Between a guided tour of the magnificent palace and gardens and time to explore on your own, you'll board the bus feeling thoroughly introduced to the history, artistry, and natural splendors that exist just a short journey outside of Paris.

Your enchanting day trip begins early in the morning in front of the Church Notre-Dame de Compassion, located in the heart of Paris. Meet your expert guide and fellow explorers for the day, and board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. As Paris wakes around you, you'll leave the city behind and enjoy a scenic hour's drive to the quaint country village of Giverny. Along the way, listen as your guide provides an insightful introduction to the day's itinerary.
Explore Fondation Claude Monet
Soon, you'll arrive at the lush Fondation Claude Monet, nestled in the heart of Giverny. You'll immediately be whisked back to the 17th century while enjoying an informative introduction to the estate that was once the home and studio of the Impressionist master Monet, and still houses his personal belongings to this day.
After the guided tour, you'll have free time to discover the estate at your own pace using a self-guided app. See for yourself the famous lily pad-peppered ponds that were featured in Monet's own masterpieces, meander through the grounds alive with colorful blooms, and imagine the day-to-day life of Monet as you explore the ivy-clad house.
When your stomach begins to grumble from all the exploring, you'll know it's time to head to one of the many local eateries dotted around Giverny. Delight in a delicious lunch with incredible views to match before meeting back up with your group to continue the journey.

Tour Palace of Versailles
Your next destination is the magnificent Palace of Versailles, and with your pre-booked group entrance and skip-the-line access, you'll waste no time heading inside. An official Palace of Versailles tour guide will then take over, leading you through the luxurious interior, pointing out the King and Queen's apartments, the Chapel, the Coronation Room, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Salon of Abundance. During the tour, you'll also be told fascinating stories of Louis XVI, the Sun King, and Marie Antoinette, and art fanatics will be blown away by the array of magnificent art pieces dotted around the palace.
Roam the Gardens of Versailles
Just when you think the tour cannot get any more grand, your expert guide will lead the way to the stunning manicured gardens of Versailles. Spread over more than 1,800 acres, it's nearly impossible to know where to start. So, your friendly guide will give you a well-rounded introduction before sending you to explore at your leisure.
Then, depending on the day and time of year, you may even have a chance to catch the delightful Versailles Fountain Show (April to October on Saturdays and Sundays) or the Musical Garden Show (April to October from Tuesday to Friday), where classical music complements the beautiful surroundings.
When you've wandered to your heart's content, you'll meet back up with your group and board the bus for a relaxing journey home. Soon, you'll be back in Paris at your initial meeting point, carrying with you the memories of a day filled with history, art, and natural beauty.

We had a great time on the Giverny/Versailles tour! Even though it seemed like a lot for one day, we had plenty of time at both locations and did not feel at all rushed. The operation was well organized and being able to enter as a group seemed to save us quite a bit of time in line. The tour guides were both very knowledgeable - I learned a lot despite having been to Versailles before.

I am sorry I paid the tour guy We checked in at a poorly selected location They had our names and phone numbers we got on bus Ash the guide gave a 5 min talk about first stop giverney He told us we would see red flag..time to meet bus I joined another who said she looked at their faces especially driver to help locate They were not at bus we were left no call no text I contacted city Wonders they said go back to Paris We took Uber $95 ,to versailles versailles let us in after 2 hours the other woman said I want to. Look at bus parking lot She found the bus The guide Ash was gone The driver felt bad WhY DID THRY NOT CALL THE MISSING TOURISTS were strangers we just stayed together we could have been hurt I am appalled We are owed the Uber fare back City Wonders is awful and The Tour Guy..please help
