An amazing experience, just 90 minutes later!
Brenda H., 27 April 2026

It was a lifelong dream of our family, and the family with whom we were traveling, to experience Pompeii in person… it meant the world for us to be able to do so. Best laid plans can go awry, even for meticulous planners like us ~ our morning started out with some chaos when the bus we were to take from Napoli Centrale left, come to find out, from a satellite bus station a few blocks away from the Napoli Centrale bus/train depot (shame on you, Flix bus, for not making that clear whatsoever in the booking summary/tickets that were sent our way, but I digress…) Missing that bus forced us to get on the regional train, which was fine, but now, instead of arriving 45 mins before our tour we arrived right as it was supposed to be beginning… I was in touch with customer service once I realized our tight timing. They advised us to proceed to the meeting point and hopefully we would get there by five minutes past the tour start time… We were getting off the train three minutes past that point… We 8 ran to find the meeting location….people need to know that there are two entrances to Pompeii!! To get to Café Vittoria, you must go past the first/seemingly sole entrance, follow a hill down and to the left, which then gets you where you need to be. Our customer service experience went from helpful to flat/dismissive once we had been running around the first Pompei entrance desperately trying to find our tour guide/group.. Our group had a wonderful experience with the Towns of Italy information booth at that second Pompeii entrance… They understood our issue, and immediately got us booked on a tour 90 minutes later… We are forever grateful to them. Our tour guide Erica was absolutely magnificent… Personable, funny, informative. Fantastic! The use of the personal headsets made all the difference where at points you are in the mix with many different tour groups… We could always hear Erica clearly!

Awesome day at Pompeii
John K., 27 April 2026

It’s a huge site, but we’re able to cannabis various parts of it and get a better understanding of what happened at Pompeii. Our guide was great. We’d recommend the beginning museum for kids. It set the stage for what they’re about to see with a little more clarity since Pompeii is just ruins
