A City Frozen in Time
In 79 A.D., the flourishing city of Pompeii was changed forever due to a catastrophic volcanic eruption. The city, defined by its large amphitheater, artisan community and even brothels, was destroyed in an instant by the wrath of Mount Vesuvius. The volcanic eruption may have destroyed the city, but also preserved it beautifully.
Almost 2,000 years later, a team of archaeologists discovered artifacts and even bodies frozen by the tragic eruption’s volcanic ash. Follow your guide to explore the ruins left behind by the catastrophe, giving life to the lost city. You will understand what life was like before, during and after the famous disaster.

Leave a reviewPompei with Antonio, small group tour
Hamish Cranefield
We thoroughly enjoyed Antonio's tour of Pompei. He's very knowledgeable and explains things clearly. We both learnt a lot during our 2 hours. He made sure we got to the good spots. We were booked for a 9:30am tour, and this had already changed twice, so we weren't very pleased to turn up on time and have to wait an hour for the rest of our group to arrive from Rome. Antonio was very professional and saw that we were looked after during our wait, but it shouldn't have happened.
Amazing Tour

We had a private tour, and our guide, Annarita was amazing. This tour far exceeded our expectations. This is the second time we've used The TourGuide and highly recommend them.
