Historic Cities of Central Spain
Your day begins in Plaza de San Miguel in central Madrid, where you'll meet your guide and a group of no more than 20 fellow travelers to begin your epic day trip. Hop on board a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus and listen as your guide talks you through the region's rich history. You can watch the Spanish countryside pass by your window and relax on your way to the first of your city visits.
Toledo's Cultural History
Toledo is your first stop, and it’s a city with long-standing Christian, Jewish, and Muslim traditions to explore, which is why it’s often known as the city of three cultures. Your guide will take you to key places in the city that represent all three religious cultures, along with some hidden nooks that only the locals know about.
You’ll also enjoy a visit to Spain’s second-largest cathedral, the Gothic Primada Cathedral of Toledo. And as you leave the city, your guide will make sure you stop at a perfect viewing point for a gorgeous panoramic photo of Toledo.
Ancient Walls of Ávila
A place where ancient technology blends perfectly with modern life, Ávila is a fascinating city full of history to explore. The 11th-century walls built to protect from Moorish invasions still surround the city with an imposing presence and will impress you with how remarkably preserved they are. Listen to your guide share stories about how important these walls were and are to this UNESCO World Heritage city.
Traditional Spanish Lunch
After exploring the walls, you'll follow your guide on a walking tour of a few historic areas of the city before heading to a favorite restaurant for lunch. Located in the old town of Avila, this restaurant is the perfect place to taste jamón ibérico or Iberian ham, which is what these regions of Spain are known for.
Segovia's Alcazar and Aqueduct
After lunch, you'll hop back in your vehicle and head to Segovia—your last stop on this Madrid day trip. Enjoy stretching your legs with a stroll through the Plaza Mayor and follow your guide to the famous Roman aqueduct that still mesmerizes visitors (and engineers) today.
And a tour of Segovia wouldn't be complete without stopping at the majestic Alcazar, which is the royal palace and fortress of this historic city. You'll have free time to explore this area before regrouping for the drive back to Madrid.

Best way to spend a day in Spain
Phong Nguyen
The one day tour is time well spent. It was the best bang for your bucks. We were able to see 3 cities in one day and still feel fresh at the end of the trip to go to the museum. It is nice to have someone do the driving and you can sleep for 1-2 hours between cities. Edwardo, our guide and Pedro, our driver were nice and knowledgeable. The free lunch was good with open bar (help with the nap on the bus). I strongly recommend for Americans who do not speak Spanish fluently. Phong
Contacting company
Michelle Currier
We tried to contact the company with the 3 numbers we had and never could get through and then an hour before we get through and the told us the tour wasn’t with them. We were trying to cancel since we both have caught a cold and didn’t want to expose others. This needs to be simplified. I would have loved to do the tour.
