Then, once everyone is on board and settled in, you'll quickly make your way out of the city to Windsor. Along the way, watch as the urban sprawl changes to lush English countryside, and before you know it, Windsor Castle will emerge on the horizon.
You'll be among the first to enter Windsor Castle's grounds, thanks to your early start. Enjoy a serene visit to St. George's Chapel and the lavish State Apartments, and with an optional audio guide, delve into the lives and stories of the monarchy. If time allows, you'll also pause to explore the town of Windsor itself, which is famous for its dreamy cobbled streets, historic pubs, and royal history.
Visit Stonehenge
From Windsor, you'll make your way to the majestic Stonehenge. This world heritage site, dating back nearly 5,000 years, offers a glimpse of ancient ingenuity and spiritual practices. Yet, its purpose remains a mystery today. See if you can decide whether it was an astronomical observatory, a sacred burial ground, or something else entirely as you meander alongside its towering stones.
Lunch in Lacock
Next, your journey continues deeper into the English countryside to Lacock—a village seemingly frozen in time with its preserved stone houses and historical charm. Here, at the 14th-century George Inn, you'll be treated to a hearty lunch of traditional British fare. Opt for the fish and chips, or give the iconic bangers and mash a go. Either way, you'll feel right at home as you chat with fellow travelers while tucked amongst the pub's rustic decor and welcoming atmosphere.
Please note that the order of stops on this tour may change, and lunch may be replaced by dinner.
Explore Bath
After lunch, you’ll hop back on the coach for a 40-minute transfer to Bath. And upon arrival, you’ll immediately be wowed by its stunning Georgian architecture and elegant streets. There’s lots to do and see here, so follow your guide's lead between ancient Roman Baths and other key attractions, all while learning about the city’s storied history. Then, with time set aside to explore independently, you’ll have a chance to check out Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge, pause for an afternoon tea, and hop between boutique shops.
Then, after wrapping up your visit to Bath, settle in for a return transfer to London. Your anticipated arrival at Victoria Coach Station in London is 9 pm, which means there’s still time to squeeze in a pitstop at a pub to cheers to your wonderful day out before tucking in for the evening.
