Tower of London

When William the Conqueror took London in 1066, the city needed to be rebuilt, and the foundation for what we see today as the Tower of London began. Originally the political and military center of the city, it quickly turned into the prison for which it is so famous. Follow along as your private guide points out the ancient Roman wall here, the statues of animals hearkening back to the menagerie once held here, and the ravens who hold a special place here at the Tower.

Under Henry VIII, his wives, enemies, and former best friends were all sent to the tower, many of whom were eventually beheaded. Crown Jewels

Did you know that the crown jewels are found here at the Tower of London? Now you do! While guides are not allowed to enter the Jewel House, you can rest assured that they'll share the coolest things about what you'll see inside.

Most of the collection dates from the 1600s, but your guide will tell you what piece of the collection to look for that dates back several more centuries! This regalia is used only in royal coronation ceremonies, so it is an incredible opportunity to see this collection.
