From London: Stonehenge Day Trip with Bath Free Time
Travel by air-conditioned coach with reserved entry to a Neolithic UNESCO World Heritage site
Most Stonehenge and Bath day trips run on rigid schedules that leave you exhausted by sundown. This one does it differently. After your guided visit to the Neolithic stone circle on Salisbury Plain, the coach drops you in the heart of Bath for hours of unhurried free time, with no rushed checkpoints or back-to-back stops. Wander the Roman thermal springs, the Royal Crescent, or a riverside café at your own pace. See two icons of English history in one easy day from London, on your timetable.

Watch the chalk grasslands of Salisbury Plain unfold beyond your window, a vast plateau still used by the British military for training. Your guide unpacks Stonehenge legends and points out medieval toll houses along the way. -
3
Step inside the Stonehenge stone circle
Enter the UNESCO-listed circle of massive standing stones, built around 2500 BC by Neolithic people for purposes still debated today. Walk close to the towering megaliths that have stood here for 5,000 years. -

Browse the Stonehenge visitor centre
Wander through the on-site exhibition, where over 250 artefacts and a reconstructed Neolithic dwelling shed light on the people who built the circle. Use the audio app to deepen your visit at your own pace. -
5
Continue west to the Georgian city of Bath
After your visit to Stonehenge, commute into Bath, an English spa town built around natural hot springs the Romans first turned into thermal temples. Your guide points out top landmarks before setting you loose on its honey-colored Georgian streets. -
6
Roam the Roman and Georgian streets of Bath
Spend your free time exploring Bath at your own pace. Snap photos at the Royal Crescent, a sweeping row of 30 Georgian townhouses, step inside the medieval Bath Abbey, or grab lunch by the River Avon. -

Your tour ends in central London
Reboard the coach in late afternoon for the scenic drive back east to London. Arrive at one of two or three drop-off points in central London between 8:00 and 8:30 pm, depending on traffic and the day's road conditions.

Customer Reviews
Overall, my wife and I both agreed that we are happy we went for the day, but it was not exactly as advertised. You list it on your sight as 9am to 9pm, a “full day”, but we were dropped off in London at 7:45pm. The tour guide Georgia was fantastic, and the bus was clean and comfortable, but to advertise it to sound like you spend most of the time in Bath and that you won’t return until 9pm is not accurate.
Overall, it was an excellent day. We booked this tour specifically because we wanted to spend time in Bath/tour the Roman Bath house, but we only got 3 hours total in Bath. The tour price also does not include your ticket into the Roman Bath house, which we did not realize until the night before. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The bus was clean and comfortable.
