All of which was done using marble, a hammer and a variety of chisels! Genius! Your guide will explain some the techniques Bernini used, as well as stories about the man himself.
Caravaggio
Another major figure of the Baroque era was Caravaggio, and his works play a starring role in the Borghese Gallery. You'll visit a room dedicated almost entirely to Caravaggio's masterpieces. See and hear about his progression as a young artist into a true master of the trade, and learn about his "chiaroscuro" art style and his fascinating life—his dark past and eventual death make for a fascinating story.
