For the class, your passionate instructor and chef will describe the how to choose the freshest local ingredients that you'll cook later in the kitchen, and you'll taste a few local favorites along the way too. For Italians, the cooking process begins not in the kitchen, but at the market. Learn why Italians traditionally shop each morning for the best breads, meats, and fresh local produce.
Cooking Class in a Florentine Kitchen
From the market, take a short walk to our fully-equipped kitchen where your cooking class will begin. Your chef will demonstrate the intricacies of each dish and the culinary techniques that have been passed down through generations in Florence, and they'll be on hand throughout to help you get your dishes just right,
During the class you'll create a full meal from appetizer to dessert, all made with local Tuscan produce. The exact menu varies by time of year to provide the best dishes with in-season ingredients, but will consist of an antipasto like a delicious bruschetta, a homemade pasta with an authentic Tuscan sauce, then a beautiful local dessert such as tiramisu.
Tuscan Lunch with Wine
After creating the dishes, you'll sit down with your group to enjoy your masterpieces with a couple of glasses of amazing Tuscan wine. Buon Appetito!
Once home, you'll be able to refer to your very own booklet of recipes to show off those fancy new cooking skills you picked up in Florence.

After several days of walking through European cities, my family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed spending a relaxing day in our cooking class in Florence. Our chef, Alice, was amazing - friendly, knowledgeable, patient and fun! The market visit was a great way to start the class and learn more about Italian meats, vegetables and, of course, olive oils! Once we started cooking, the time flew by as we learned how to make fresh pasta, ravioli and tiramisu. The best part was eating our delicious meal and toasting with wine to a day well-spent. I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Florence and looking for a unique experience.
