Tour Itinerary

  • 1

Your tour begins at Park Güell

Meet your guide at one of Park Güell's entrances, where the city of Barcelona falls away below you and Gaudí's world begins. Find the exact meeting point on your booking voucher.
  • 2

Skip the long ticket lines and enter the monument zone

Bypass the queues and step straight into the heart of the park. Your guide sets the scene, introducing Gaudí's vision for a hilltop garden city that Barcelona never quite finished building.
  • 3

    Explore the Hipòstila Room

Duck into this forest of 86 Doric columns, each one designed to create a subtle sense of movement as you walk through. Look up at the ceramic ceiling, where Gaudí and collaborator Josep M. Jujol turned broken tile scraps into something extraordinary.
  • 4

Admire the Plaça de la Natura

Step onto the sweeping panoramic terrace, where a curving mosaic bench frames views of Barcelona's skyline and the Mediterranean beyond. This is Gaudí's trencadís technique at its most spectacular.
  • 5

Discover the Casa del Guarda (exterior)

This gingerbread-like gatehouse dates back to 1903 and was built as a porter's lodge for park visitors. Its candy-colored turrets and sculptural roofline make it one of the most photographed buildings in the park.
  • 6

Pass by the Casa Museu Gaudí

Pause outside Gaudí's distinctive pink residence, where your guide shares the architect's personal story and creative obsessions. The house itself is a quiet reminder of how deeply the artist lived inside his own imagination.
  • 7

Meet El Drac, Park Güell's famous lizard

Come face to face with the park's most iconic sculpture: the mosaic salamander that has become a symbol of Barcelona. Positioned at the top of the dragon staircase, El Drac is every bit as striking in person as in every photo you've ever seen of it.
  • 8

Your tour ends where you first began

Your guided tour wraps up inside Park Güell. Spend as long as you like exploring the remaining 12 hectares (30 acres) of the park on your own, and ask your guide for recommendations before heading off.

Wonder passion for Barcelona and Catalan culture.

Well worth it tour of Guell Park
Claire R., 09 August 2026

We were so glad we spent the bit of money for this guided tour. We learned so much! Also, it was very hot, and our guide, Sol, expertly led us to shade and great viewing points. If on our own, we would have missed most of it. This was a great way to appreciate the park.

Terrific and knowledgeable guide
Ericka T., 07 July 2026

If we hadn’t booked this tour I would have had no idea how to tour this enormous park! We learned so much from our guide who was a historian and had great stories and insights to share. It was a sweltering day during the heatwave and he found many shaded areas for us and was very thoughtful of everyone in our group. One word of advice - don’t look for a Tour Guy sign when you arrive like we did. Check the name on your ticket as it was different. I highly recommend this tour with the guide we had!!

A Wonderful Park Güell Experience
Mark B., 08 June 2026

We had a perfect day in the park, with our friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. This is a MUST SEE part of your itinerary if you are in the Barcelona area, and would highly recommend using The Roman Guy to book. The team was in constant communication with logistics, and providing all of the necessary details. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
