Weather Advisory: This tour runs rain or shine. Please bring swimwear and a towel if traveling between May and October for the beach stop.
Please Note: Entry fees to the Temple of Poseidon are not included in the price of the tour and must be paid upon arrival: €5 (Nov–Mar) or €10 (Apr–Oct) per person.
Pick-up Note: Hotel pick-up is provided only for those staying within the central Athens city center. If you are staying outside the center or in a pedestrian-only zone, a meeting spot will be assigned.
Tour Changes: The stop at the beach is typically only available from May to October due to local weather conditions. For the rest of the year, additional time will be allocated to other locations on the tour.
Check-in: Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in at the meeting point so the group can depart on time.

Fun Time - Great Weather

Did the half day tour to the Temple of Poseidon. Our guides were Billy and Dinae. Billy drove. Dinae provided the audio. I enjoyed the experience. We were very lucky, the weather was great. Dinae (sorry for misspelling) gave practical info, history, and a primer on mythology. She also provided a list of restaurant suggestions. I went to one on the list for lunch - delicious!

A great tour and a beautiful sunset

Perikles and Fortis picked us up at our hotel right on time! Perikles did a great job dealing with the Athens traffic to get us safely to our destination. Fortis kept us entertained, engaged and enlightened the entire trip! We stopped at a sunken hot spring lake for pictures and to stretch on our legs on the way to the Temple. It was a beautiful spot. Then it was off to the beach! We stopped at a small cafe with a private beach for a snack/dinner and swimming if you wanted. The food was delicious, service was very good and the Mediterranean called several of us to jump in. There were showers and bathrooms for changing. Then it was on to the main event - the sunset! One quick kodak moment picture stop where Fortis played papparazzi for all of us and got some great shots of us with the Temple of Poseidon in the background. Fortis gave us clear instructions on when to be back on the bus so we wouldn't be stuck behind all the large buses returning to town. We were there in plenty of time to check out the Temple in the daylight before the sunset started. And what a beautiful sunset it was. You never know in advance if a sunset will be good and we got very lucky. We enjoyed the sunset most of the way back to Athens too. I would highly recommend this tour as a perfect ending to a great day.

Since this trip includes transportation, all passengers on the tour must be seated for safety and legal reasons. That means a young child takes up the same space as a youth or adult. For peace of mind, we can bring a car seat for children who need one, so please let us know in the comment box on the order confirmation page.
