To Delphi from Athens
Depart with your driver, guide, and group in a comfortable, air-conditioned shuttle for the journey to Delphi. As you drive through the Boeotia plain, your guide will tell stories of ancient mythology and explain the significance of the historic locations you'll visit today.
Along the way, you'll make a stop in the valley of Kryas Springs to stretch your legs and admire the impossibly beautiful landscape.
Delphi Archaeological Site and Temple of Apollo
Upon reaching Delphi, your guide will take you on a journey through one of the most significant sites of ancient Greece—often called the center of the ancient world. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, this is where the fabled Delphic Oracle priestess Pythia delivered messages from the god Apollo.
It became one of the most influential oracles in the Greek world between the sixth and fourth centuries BC. Remains of the Temple of Apollo have been excavated along with other significant monuments including the Athenian Stoa, the Treasury of the Athenians, and the Polygonal Wall.
After exploring the archaeological site, you'll enter the fascinating Delphi Museum to see some of the world-famous artifacts recovered over the years. Gaze in awe as ancient relics including Naxian Sphinx, the frieze of the Treasury of the Sifnians, the bronze Charioteer, and the statue of Antinous.
The Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia
Around half a mile from the main site at Delphi lies the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. The beautiful circular sanctuary (or tholos) was dedicated to the goddess Athena, and along with a small cluster of other structures it was thought to have served as the gateway to Delphi. Your guide will lead around the highlights of this incredible site where columns still stand almost 2,500 years after they were constructed.
Explore the Mountain Village of Arachova
Wave goodbye to ancient Greece as you driver transports you to the picturesque mountain village of Arachova. Your time here is free to do as you wish. Stroll through narrow cobbled alleys, visit local artisan shops, or find a quiet spot to sit and enjoy those wonderful mountain views. If you're hungry then this is also a great place to buy lunch, with plenty of great local restaurants dotted throughout the village.
In the afternoon you driver will be ready to take you back to Athens, and you arrive in the early evening ready for a night in the city.

I’m writing this a year late. I took this tour to Delphi with my mom in August 2023. Everything about how the tour is organized was great, no complaints. The tour itself and the history we learned were truly enjoyable. Not to detract from the immense cultural and archaeological importance of Delphi, but the reason we really had such a wonderful time on this tour was because of our guide Mariza. She was extremely knowledgeable, that goes without saying. We actually also had a tour with her to the Acropolis earlier in the week and were both happy and surprised to see her leading this Delphi tour (she remembered our names, ha ha). She delivered both tours factually and sincerely! She was patient and funny. She was also thoughtful and just a genuinely nice person. There was a group of 3 elderly individuals who were also attending the Delphi tour with us that day and Mariza took such gentle care with them. Mariza never rushed them while we climbed the stairs at Delphi, and Mariza walked most of the way assisting one of the elderly individuals on her arm. In fact, those 3 individuals shared with us that they had visited Delphi before in the 70s or 80s back when it wasn’t so crowded, and Mariza was eager to hear from them and learn through their memories. Overall, I think Mariza just really touched us with her kindness, and we hope she’s doing well and highly recommend her services!
