Customer Reviews
We arranged a private tour of Pompeii and hike to the crater atop Mt Vesuvius. Our historian guide at Pompeii gave us a great tour that blended history and sightseeing without dealing with large crowds. Next we had lunch on the way up Vesuvius and then a volcanologist (Diego Conte) took us in a walking tour up to the crater. Diego is the best!! We learned a ton and it made the hike on a very hot day totally worth it. We highly recommend this tour package for families!
Fantastic guide! We enjoyed learning the history. Climbing the volcano, and taking in the beautiful views. Highly recommended!
The location was easy to find. We booked our tickets and there was a "meeting point" about 150 feet away from the entrance. It was a little unclear that we didn't really need the meeting point. We got to the catacombs location and there was a long line for entry. We thought we could "skip the line" as your ticket title suggested but I guess that's for something else. We had to wait in line for the security access to the catacombs which makes sense.
We couldn't decide how to spend our day and this was the best way! We loved seeing Pompeii and Vesuvius! Thank you to the Roman Guy!
