The journey takes approximately three hours, and along the way, you’ll be treated to superb views of rolling hills, vineyards, ancient fortresses, and once you’re close to Granada, the rugged mountains of the Sierra Nevada.

Guided Alhambra Tour

Upon reaching Granada, around midday, you'll head straight to the majestic Alhambra Palace for a four-hour tour. This magnificent UNESCO-listed fortress whose first historical records date to the 9th century, featuring Moorish art and architecture, houses the intricate Nasrid Palaces and lush Generalife gardens. With your guide leading the way, you'll uncover hints of the Nasrid dynasty, explore opulent halls and serene courtyards, and pause by idyllic water features.

Over centuries, the Alhambra has survived numerous changes of fortune, serving as a court to the Nasrid sultans as Muhammad XII of Granada in the 15th century, a fortress for the Reconquista, and later, a royal residence for Ferdinand and Isabella Catholic Monarchs of Spain

Throughout your tour, you'll learn about these distinct periods of time and how each has influenced the Alhambra you're exploring today.

Visit Albaicín Alto

After wrapping up your tour of the Alhambra, you’ll make your way to the historic Albaicín Alto for a scenic stroll. Also known as the Muslim Quarter, this district features narrow, winding streets, and traditional houses, and best of all, offers stunning vistas of the Alhambra and the Generalife against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains. The finest spot to enjoy these views is from the Mirador de San Nicolás, and thanks to your expert guide’s lead, you’ll effortlessly make your way here to soak up your beautiful surroundings.
