Meet your guide at Gate C of the Douro Marina
Begin your experience by meeting the crew at the marina gates in Vila Nova de Gaia. You will receive a welcome drink upon boarding the sailboat to set the tone for your voyage. -

Arrábida Bridge and the historic waterfront
Sail toward the city center under the massive concrete span of the Arrábida Bridge, built in 1963. See the historic Port wine cellars lining the southern bank while tasting your second vintage. -

Luis I Bridge and Ribeira district
Glide past the iconic double-deck iron bridge designed by a disciple of Gustave Eiffel. From the water, you will have a clear view of the Porto Cathedral and the colorful houses of the Ribeira district. -

Porto Customs House and Crystal Palace Gardens
The sailboat heads toward the river mouth, passing the neoclassical Customs House and the hilltop greenery of the Crystal Palace. Your guide explains the maritime history of these 19th-century landmarks during the third tasting. -

Sail to the very end of the river where the Douro opens up into the Atlantic Ocean. You will enjoy your fourth "surprise" drink while taking in the views of the sea and the coastal horizon before the boat turns around to head back to the docks. -

Step back onto the dock with a new appreciation for Porto’s famous wines and its maritime heritage. Since the marina is a short distance from the center, the crew is happy to help you arrange a taxi or a rideshare app for your return trip to the city center.
