To begin immersing yourself in Portugal’s fascinating culture and stunning scenery, head to the Hard Rock Cafe in Lisbon. Your friendly guide will be waiting outside to greet you, along with your small group of fellow travelers.
After hopping into your comfortable minivan, you’ll be transported to the breathtaking Sanctuary of Fatima. Explore this historic Christian Pilgrimage site, and then marvel at the beauty of the Batalha Monastery.
Next, take in jaw-dropping views from the Nazaré cliffs before wandering through the picturesque fishing village of Nazaré. After free time to experience this beautiful town, you’ll be driven to the medieval village of Óbidos. Admire ancient castle walls as you wander down the town’s idyllic streets. Before leaving, you’ll even be treated to a sample of a traditional Ginja liquor in a chocolate cup!

After an early wake up call, head outside of the Hard Rock Cafe in Lisbon to meet your friendly guide. Along with your intimate group of only eight other travelers at most, you’ll hop into your comfortable minivan for the day. Remember to arrive ten minutes early—there’s a lot to pack in today, and you won’t want to miss any of it!
Visit the Fatima Sanctuary
Your first stop of the day is the breathtaking Sanctuary of Fatima where a profound story unfolds. In 1927, three shepherd children reported visions of the Virgin Mary, and their humble encounter let to the establishment of the Sanctuary This is one of the world’s most significant Christian Pilgrimage sites, and nearly 5 millions visitors travel each year just to see the famous sanctuary, offering a chance to witness history and feel the spiritual energy.
During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the Chapel of Apparitions and gaze inside the Basilica of Nossa Senhora do Rosário.
See the Batalha Monastery
Next, you’ll be led to the magnificent Batalha Monastery. This UNESCO World Heritage Site dates back to the 14th century and has a fascinating architectural and historical significance.. Built to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota in 1385, this Gothic masterpiece stands as a symbol of national pride. By exploring its halls, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich stories of the past, appreciating the craftsmanship that has shaped Portugal.
Wander through Nazaré
Have your camera handy for the next breathtaking stop of the tour, where you’ll reach the top of the Nazaré cliffs. Take in awe-inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean while your guide shares the intriguing legend of D. Fuas Roupinh who was a noble knight who, invoked the Virgin Mary and promised to build a chapel in her honor, Chapel of Memória, making it a place of pilgrimage in gratitude.
Afterwards, stroll through the idyllic fishing village of Nazaré before sitting down for lunch at one of the delightful seafood restaurants in town. You’re free to dine wherever you choose, though your local guide will be happy to point you towards some of their favorite spots!
Explore the Medieval Village of Óbidos
After refueling with a delicious Portuguese lunch and enjoying a breathtaking drive along the Atlantic coast, it’s time to explore your final stop of the day. The medieval village of Óbidos was founded over 2,000 years ago and is an absolutely enchanting town to visit.
Stroll down winding, narrow streets, marvel at ancient architecture and castle walls, and pop into the small, artisan shops throughout the village. Before leaving, you’ll be treated to a traditional Ginja (cherry) liquor served in a chocolate cup!
Return to Lisbon
After your authentic tasting, it will be time to make your way back to Lisbon. Hop back in your comfy minivan and enjoy a scenic return to the city. Once you arrive, you’ll be conveniently dropped off at your original meeting point.

Kids of all ages are welcome, and children 11 and younger pay a reduced fee
Why do I have to pay for my child who's under 11 years old?
Since this trip includes transportation, all passengers on the tour must be seated for safety and legal reasons. That means a young child takes up the same space as a youth or adult. For peace of mind, we can bring a car seat for children who need one, so please let us know in the comment box on the order confirmation page
