Frequently Asked Questions
Where to meet?
Via Dei Cerchi, 59 (Circus Maximus). A representative will wait for you in front of the bike shop, holding a sign with our company name on it.
What to bring?
We will be outside the entire time, so make sure to bring a bottle of water and sunscreen in summer.
Q: How old do you have to be to join this tour?
A: 12 years old or older.
Q: How tall do you have to be to join this tour?
A: E-bikes do not come in youth or child sizes as they are motorized. Anyone riding the bikes must be 5' 2" (160cm) minimum. If your kids are tall enough and want to join, please buy an adult ticket.
Q: Is there a max weight limit for the e-bikes?
A: We do not recommend this e-bike tour for those above 250 lbs or have poor balance. The tour stays mostly on side streets with low traffic. However, we designed the experience for people who feel very comfortable on a bike.
Q: Do we go inside the Pantheon?
A: We recommend you go inside if there isn't a long wait. If the line to get in is too long, we must skip entering the Pantheon and the e-bike tour of Rome must continue.
Q: Should I wear high heels?
A: That wouldn't work out so well. Wear light, comfortable and sporty clothes in the summer and always wear comfortable shoes/sneakers.
Q: What if it rains?
A: This tour runs rain or shine! If our guide deems the weather conditions unsafe for bike riding, the tour will be canceled for your own safety. We will do our best to reschedule you for another tour or offer you a full refund. We understand your time in Rome is limited and we want you to experience as much as you can!
Q: What are the driving surfaces like?
A: Beautiful cobblestoned streets are part of what makes Rome so timeless and nostalgic. But it also means that we're in fror a bit of a bumpy ride! You won't be bopping around the entire tour, but keep in mind that some of the course is uneven and rugged.

E- Bike is a great way to see Rome
This was the perfect way for our family with 4 teenagers to see the city of Rome. Our guide Dimitri was extremely knowledgeable and took us through many back roads/neighborhoods that were safer than the main roads. We saw all of the main sites and even more. With all the hills in Rome e-bike was the way to go.
The best way to see Rome
We had a small group tour with Dimitri all through Ancient Rome on our first full day. It was one of our best tours we took. Highly recommend that you do this on your first day- it’ll give a good overview of the city and sights, and you’ll meet Dimitri who injects insider knowledge and Roman humor into the whole trip. Book with confidence! Some highlights: 1) the bikes are really effortless. Don’t fear the traffic or the people- Romans know how to navigate around you. Plus the routes are fairly easy. we barely broke out in a sweat. 2) you’ll see practically everything for a few moments- but really get oriented on how the city is laid out and make your mental notes about where you want to go. Based on this tour we decided to spend some time in the old Jewish ghetto and Trastevere later in our trip. 3) bring your camera - you’ll see amazing. Sights and angles of monuments you normally wouldn’t. 4) the guides commentary through out had us laughing about the funny side of Rome, Italy, and the way the Roman culture works. In all great tour. Thanks Roman Guy! We did another one later in the day with Dimitri as well. See tut review too.
Great E-bike Tour of Rome with Dimitri
Very fun and informative E-bike tour booked through the Roman Guy. Dimitri navigated us (8 bikers total) thru low traffic areas to see major sites, squares, and quaint neighborhoods. The e-bikes worked great and zipped us up hills with no effort. The hilltops offered fantastic views of the Vatican, colosseum and forum, while Dimitri described some of the history. We also took a little break to shop and get ice cream in Campo di Fiori. Much fun for our family with two teenagers. Highly recommend!
