Customer Reviews
We only had 3-4 hours to spend here due to the cruise bus schedule. Having a guide really helped touing this magnificent place. Shorter lines, explaining the history, knowing where to go. Worth it!
We booked with The Tour Guide after reading all the positive reviews, so I feel compelled to share our overwhelmingly disappointing experience. We booked with them back in March for an Alhambra Tour in May, which was the reason why we were travelling to Grenada. We planned everything around our tour, booked hotels, etc. With everything booked and paid for months in advance, passport information shared, we were all set. Or so we thought. The night (after 9pm) before we were set to arrive in Grenada, we get an email from them stating that our booking had been cancelled. They simply stated it was cancelled, cited 'operational reasons" (when in truth they had farmed us out to a third party tour operator), and did absolutely nothing to help correct their mistake. Tickets to Alhambra book up months in advance, at at that point there was nothing available until June. So when they flippantly directed us to their website to try and book tickets now, they knew as well as we did that there was nothing available. From there, the next day of our holiday was spent online and on the phone trying to get them to answer our calls and help us fix this. To travel all the way to a country/city with a confirmed and paid for trip planned for your family , only to have your tour operator cancel on you at the last minute and leave you to your own devices to scramble to fix it, is why I will never use The Tour Guy again, and can't recommend that you do either, In the end, after wasting hours of our holiday trying to fix their mistake, the other tour operator was kind enough to help us. We had to pay more for a private tour at the last minute - but at least we were able to salvage our plans. But no thanks to the Tour Guy. What a terrible experience.
Our guide was amazing and we needed the full 3 hours to get throught everything. Highly recommend.
