Dress Code: The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a place of worship, so both men and women must cover their knees and shoulders. Access to the Terraces and Dome will be denied to anyone wearing high heels, flip-flops, slippers, or clogs. Guests who do not meet the dress code may be refused entry.
Accessibility: Unfortunately, this tour is not wheelchair accessible. The Terraces require 153 steps, and the full climb to the summit of Brunelleschi's Dome involves 463 steps in total. Please contact us if you have questions or concerns about your mobility.
Physical Requirements: This tour involves a significant amount of climbing on narrow, ancient staircases. A moderate level of physical fitness is required. The tour is not recommended for guests with back problems, heart conditions, or other serious medical conditions.
Age Restriction: This tour is not permitted for children under 7 years of age.

We ask both men and women to cover their knees and shoulders, otherwise, the Duomo might refuse entry. We understand the summers in Florence can be hot, so a great alternative is to bring a shawl/scarf/sweater with you. That way you can cover your knees and shoulders when necessary. Access to the Cupola and the Terraces will be denied in case you wear high heels, flip-flops, slippers, clogs, or similar footwear.
