From here, your professional, art-historian guide will be waiting to greet you and the rest of your intimate group of only 20 guests at most. Once everyone is ready, enjoy a quick entrance into the gallery as you bypass the long queue with your skip-the-line tickets.
Your expert guide will begin by leading you to the most famous statue in the world, Michelangelo’s David. Admire this incredible work of art as your knowledgeable guide details how it came to be, and the significance this famous statue had on the French Republic.

See Michelangelo’s David Statue
The Accademia Gallery is most renowned for hosting Michelangelo’s iconic David statue, so it makes sense that this is where your expert guide will begin the tour! The streets were packed outside the Gallery and was a little difficult locating our tour guide, but once we did, things went very smoothly. We were moved to the front of the line for out tour, saving tremendous time. Our guide took her time with our group with explaining and describing all the artifacts paintings, statues and especially spending a lot of time talking about Michelangelo's Statue of David and his other workings. Highly recommended.

We arrived 15 mts before our start time and the guide came in and directed us to a line that took over 2 hours to get in!! Description on this tour is completely misguiding. It is a guided tour and NOT a skip-the-line or even closer to the experience that is being described. Tour Guy, we’ve always loved your tour videos and funny it starts with the recommendation of “there are only two types of travellers…. etc. This to was misleading and I would recommend it to anyone. 🫤

How comprehensive is this tour?
During this tour, you will have 1-1.5 hours with an expert art historian, walking you through the most prominent works of Michelangelo and other notable artists, with a special focus on the David. While there won’t be time to tour the entire museum with your guide, you will learn a lot about the more impressive and significant works of art and be free to explore the Accademia Gallery at your leisure, after the guided tour.

No, but your guide will be happy to recommend one of our favorite spots for after the tour.

Kids are welcome on this tour, and infants aged 3 and younger may join for free. Children aged 4-12 pay a reduced fee. Please, choose accordingly during the booking.

Hotel pickup is not included on this tour. You’ll meet your guide at the designated meeting point outside of the museum.
Where does this tour end?
This tour ends at the museum, however you free to stay as long as you’d like and continue exploring at your leisure.
