Start your morning with Michelangelo’s masterpiece
Step inside the Accademia Gallery with pre-reserved tickets and head straight to David—Michelangelo’s 14-foot sculpture of biblical defiance. Your guide will share stories behind the statue, as well as lesser-known works in the gallery that help explain how Florence became the cradle of the Renaissance.
Walk the city’s heart with a local expert
From Piazza della Repubblica to Ponte Vecchio, each stop on this walking tour reveals another layer of Florence’s past. Hear why a bronze boar brings good luck, where political power once shifted hands in Piazza della Signoria, and how medieval bridges still connect daily life. The route is compact, but the stories go deep.
Go inside the Florence Duomo with an official guide
Your final stop is inside the Florence Cathedral, where one of the Duomo’s own certified guides takes over. You’ll learn how Brunelleschi’s dome defied 15th-century engineering and discover the symbolism behind the cathedral’s mosaic floors, side chapels, and soaring arches. It’s a rare chance to get beyond the facade—and skip the confusing ticketing process.

Amazing!

We booked this tour the night before when we realized that online tickets through the museum had sold out and booking a tour would be the only way to get in. Did we luck out! Our tour was with Angela who was just fantastic. She was so passionate and knowledgeable about art and her hometown of Florence! We learned so much more than if we had done a walking tour on our own. I got goosebumps seeing the David sculpture in person and listening to Angela recount all the details of the making of this masterpiece. The walking tour of the city afterwords was just as fascinating. There was plenty of time for pictures and asking questions. Angela also recommended places for lunch and gelato as well. A favorite day of our trip for sure. We enjoyed the tour so much we also booked the Vatican tour for a few days later in Rome. Highly recommend the Roman Guy tours. Very well done, very organized, amazing guides and worth every penny.

We used The Roman Guy multiple times during our honeymoon in Italy and were not disappointed. When planning, we failed to get tickets to the Academia to see the David sculpture in advance, and I was so bummed thinking we wouldn't be able to go. We booked these tickets the night before the tour, which allowed us to skip the line, and learn so much about the history and details of the sculpture. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever seen, and hearing our tour guide describe all of the detail helped us learn and appreciate it so much more than if we had just gone on our own. The walking tour that followed was the perfect amount of time and helped us get our bearings in the city. Like with all of The Roman Guy tours, the groups are small enough that it really feels personal. Definitely recommend.
