Barcelona Tapas Tour with Catalan Wine
Enjoy 16 tastings across 6 unique stops in El Born and the Gothic Quarter
This isn’t your average tapas crawl. With just 12 people, this evening tour pairs hard-to-find Catalan specialties with a local guide who knows the difference between tourist tapas and real Catalan food culture. From anarchist croquettes and porró wine rituals to fried fish in a bar that defied dictatorship, every bite comes with context. You’ll also pass the square where Columbus met the Catholic Monarchs, because in Barcelona, food and history are always on the same plate.

Kick things off with porró wine and jamón dreams
Your night starts with a Catalan classic: tomato bread, jamón ibérico, and wine sipped from a porró like a local. It's messy, it’s fun, and your guide will explain why this communal ritual matters way more than it looks. Think tapas with a side of tradition—and Instagram-worthy moves.
Eat a “bomba” with a spicy backstory
Next up: a spicy croquette named after an actual anarchist weapon. You'll hear how Barceloneta’s rebellious past shaped its food, then wash it down with housemade sangria—real sangria, not the tourist stuff. Spicy, boozy, unforgettable.
Gothic geese, Columbus drama, and royal gossip
You’ll hit the cathedral (yes, there are 13 geese) and stop in the exact square where Columbus spilled the tea to the Spanish royals after returning from the Americas. No lectures here—just sharp, surprising stories you’ll actually remember.
Cheese, cold cuts, fried fish, and a sweet ending
From local cheeses and slow-aged sausages to sizzling fried fish at a bar that hasn’t changed its menu since 1945, this is your chance to eat like a real local. Cap it all off with an ensaimada, plus a sea breeze and a view.

Leave a reviewBest Jamon Iberico Ever!!!!

The group was small so we all got to know each other. By the end it felt like hanging out with friends, sharing food and drinks, and exploring together. The jamón ibérico we had at one of the stops was exceptional, melt-in-your-mouth good, and honestly the best I’ve ever tried.

I honestly didn’t know what a “porró” was before this tour, and now I’ll never forget it. Basically you try to pour wine into your mouth from this glass thing without touching it… and yes, I failed. Twice. But we laughed so much. The food stops were all super good and our guide made it feel like hanging out with friends, not a tour.
