Begin your sunset adventure in central Athens
Your tour begins 60 meters from the Acropolis metro station at Athanasiou Diakou 16. After a quick bike fitting and safety briefing, you will roll into the city's breezy pedestrian zone as the late afternoon light begins to soften over the ancient streets. -
2
Discover ancient temples and ceremonial traditions
You will stop beside the massive Corinthian columns of the Temple of Olympian Zeus before riding to the Presidential Mansion. Here, you will watch the Evzones guards perform their slow-motion change of guard ceremony in traditional pleated kilts and pom-pom shoes. -
3
Explore the marble stadium and hilltop views
Next, you will pedal around the all-marble Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympics in 1896. After a short ascent to Philopappos Hill, you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama as the sun sets and the Acropolis begins to glow across the valley. -
4
Glide through historic cemeteries and flower-lined lanes
Your journey continues past the ancient cemetery of Kerameikos and into the narrow, blossom-filled streets of Plaka. This route offers a mix of 3,000-year-old history and charming, whitewashed houses that feel like a hidden Greek island in the heart of the city. -
5
Return to the start with Athens glowing at dusk
Your tour finishes back at the original meeting point as twilight settles over the city. After returning your equipment, your guide provides a complimentary map and suggestions for nearby tavernas where you can enjoy a traditional dinner after your evening ride.
