Depart from Athens at 8:00am to Kalabaka with our coach-bus and admire the beautiful Greek landscapes during your trip. Meeting point is at Larissa Station (Athens 104 44) -

Your journey begins at the Athens Train Station, where you'll board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Relax and take in the beautiful Greek countryside during the ride, making a short stop at a top-rated, seaside bus stop restaurant for a break. Upon arrival in Kalabaka, your local guide will greet you, ready to start the adventure.
The Monasteries of Meteora
Your tour begins with your expert local guide sharing the fascinating history of this unique geological wonder. You'll visit all six monasteries and go inside three of the most popular ones. You'll learn about their rich history, the lives of the monks, and the incredible stories behind their construction. Please keep in mind that entry into each monastery costs 5 EUROS per person (must be paid in cash). As guidance inside the Holy monasteries is restricted, you will be provided our free audio guide to learn more about key points of interest in your preferred language.
You will then get exclusive access to the Hermit Caves of Badovas, a truly special feature of this tour.

Your guide will take you to several secret spots only known to locals, perfect for capturing breathtaking photos of the entire Meteora landscape.
After your tour, you'll have a brief stop in Kalabaka before your comfortable return trip to Athens. The bus departs at 6pm from Kalabaka, and you will arrive in Athens around 10:30pm.

What time and where do we meet?
Meet at Athens Train Station (Larissis Station) at least 15 minutes before the 8:00 am departure. Your guide will be waiting at the Kalambaka bus stop upon arrival.
What should I bring?
Bring cash (around €5 per monastery for entrance fees), comfortable shoes for climbing steps, and weather-appropriate clothing.
Are there dress code requirements?
Yes. Ladies must wear skirts by the knee or longer; pants and sleeveless tops are not allowed. Men cannot wear shorts over the knee or sleeveless shirts.
Is lunch included?
If selected at time of checkout, yes. Lunch includes a main dish, Greek salad, bread, and water. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.
Are there accessibility considerations?
Reaching the monasteries requires climbing steps; there are no elevators. The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but strollers and service animals are allowed.
