Start Your Journey from London
Beginning in central London at Earl's Court, your driver will bring you through the countryside the heart of pre-historic Britain. Traveling in a comparatively small group of no more than 30 people, you'll be joined by an engaging local driver-guide who will share stories and theories about the ancient sites you'll see throughout the day.
Silbury Hill and West Kennet
Like the grand stone circle at Stonehenge, the man-made mound of Silbury Hill is rife with mystery. Similarly sized to the pyramids in Egypt, it's impossible to know the true reason behind what would have been a monumental construction project, especially given the tools available when it was built over 4,000 years ago!
At West Kennet Long Barrow, you'll visit an ancient burial ground and chambers that are thought to date back over 5,000 years. Listen as your guide explains how these chambers give insight into Neolithic life in Britain.
Avebury Monoliths and Free Time for Lunch
At Avebury, you'll find a smaller set of ancient stone circles, similar in age to that of Stonehenge. You'll stop here for some free time to explore charming Avebury village or have a tasty late lunch at the famous (and possibly haunted) Red Lion Pub.
Lunch is not included in the price of this tour, but your guide will have several recommendations to choose from.
Stonehenge Inner Circle Tour at Dusk
Have you ever wondered how Stonehenge was built? To this day historians and archaeologists cannot agree. Whether it was built as a Celtic Druid burial site or something more extraterrestrial, visiting Stonehenge after hours lets you experience the site at its best.
The grand finale of the day is your stop at Stonehenge and its Inner Circle. Get up close to the great triliths and imagine people putting these 25-ton structures into place without the help of any known machinery.
You'll also get special access to enter the Inner Circle that's off-limits to daytime visitors, where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and imagine the Druid rituals that may have occurred here.
After leaving Stonehenge, your driver will be waiting to take you back to London in time for bed!

This experience is like no other and well worth the price. It is run with small groups and you get tons of time to explore, take pictures, and just soak up the environment with no one else around. This is the only way you get to spend time in the inner circle of the structure. Our guide at Stonehenge, Chris, was also a delight, who had tons of knowledge and willing to share if you were interested. Otherwise, you could wander about as you like and take a million pictures with no one around. There are also two stops (burial chamber and the world's largest stone circle) before Stonehenge so you get a better context about Stonehenge. If you only get one chance to see Stonehenge, this is the best way to do!
