Magnificent Windsor Castle
The first stop on your day trip from London is the royal residence of Windsor Castle, where you'll be allowed to skip the line and explore some of its most famous rooms before the big crowds arrive. Nearly 1,000 years old, Windsor Castle was built after the Normans conquered Britain, and its 13,000-acre estate includes a fort, a small town, and the palace.
It was the preferred weekend home of Queen Elizabeth, and you can see where famous world leaders have met throughout history and still meet today. Visit the grand state apartments, St. George’s Chapel, Queen Mary’s Doll House, and more at your own pace. You'll have around 2 hours here, including the chance to watch the iconic Changing of the Guards ceremony before you travel to your next stop.
The Mysteries of Stonehenge
After departing Windsor, the next fascinating stop on your tour is Stonehenge. Your guide will tell you all about the theories and known history of this beloved UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has baffled and intrigued historians for centuries.
Over 4,000 years old and made from massive stones weighing over 25 tons each, the construction of Stonehenge rivals that of Egypt's great pyramids. Dating back to the Neolithic age, we may never know for sure exactly how and why this great stone circle was built. Either way, this incredible piece of ancient history is a must-see on your trip to England.
You'll have around 1.5 hours at the Stonehenge site, enough to relax and perhaps enjoy some local strawberries. Your guide won't be allowed to accompany you, but an audio guide is available if you'd like one.
The Historic Town of Bath
You'll arrive in Bath this afternoon, and can have a late lunch at one of the many great restaurants nearby. A Roman town named after its most famous feature, Bath is one of the best representations of Roman influence in the United Kingdom today. This tour gives you the chance to choose how to spend your afternoon in Bath, whether you want to wander the city, see the Jane Austen Museum, or explore the Roman Baths. Your guide will be waiting to take you back to London this evening, and can give you some local tips and recommendations to get you started.
The thermal springs of Bath were used by the native Celts for millennia, and the Romans made them a beautiful feature of the town during their rule of Britain. You can tour the baths and discover how they have been used and adapted throughout history. Tickets can be purchased locally.
Other attractions in the town of Bath include the Jane Austen Museum. Dedicated to one of Britain’s most treasured writers famous, for books including Pride and Prejudice, the museum is a great place to spend some of your free time in Bath.
After a full day of exploring some of England's finest attractions, sit back and relax as your driver brings you safely back to London. You'll arrive back in the city in the evening, so ask your guide about some favorite local restaurants to try.

Windsor Castle was extremely busy, so stood in line for St. George's Chapel as well as the apartments. Tried to leave on time but were stopped because of the changing of the guard. Stonehenge was rushed but sufficient. Take the shuttle. By the time we got to Bath we had time for a nice dinner at 4 PM but not much else. The drive was interesting because I could see the rolling hills, crops and grazing animals. I recommend bringing a pseudo lunch with you.

Loved all the sites. Was disappointed that this was a subcontracted tour. You guys have always been fantastic (Rome, private tours at various European cruise ports and now London) so I expected to have TourGuy guides. I was also disappointed that the "guide" really wasn't anything more than a glorified bus driver. He did not escort us through any of the sites other than to get us admitted. Again, your guides have always been great and accompanied us when possible and provided great insight. We didn't experience much of that on this tour.
