Muir Woods National Monument
The first stop is the Muir Woods National Monument. Dedicated to the famed environmentalist John Muir, the park is a serene area home to hundreds of Coastal Redwood trees. Spend over an hour under the canopy of the Sequoias, taking in the trees that rise to nearly 300 feet and have seen over a millennium of history.
You will be one of the first in the woods, a perfect time to take in the peace and serenity of the park. Beyond the iconic tress, you are likely to see black-tailed deer, chipmunks, coyotes, or even wild turkeys. See the best Redwood Forest tour with a local guide
Pacific Coast, Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Views
When you are ready, we will drive back out through the rolling green hills of the Tamalpais valley and into the Marin Headlands. Here roads cling to the cliffs above the Pacific ocean and Red-Tailed Hawks soar in the sky. We will explore abandoned military bunkers with beautiful views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline in the background before heading to the seaplane base in Sausalito.
Heading out of the Woods, you will ride through the rolling hills of the Tamalpais valley. Riding along the cliffs over the Pacific Ocean, you will sea majestic red-tailed hawks soaring in the sky. Stop for the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline from abandoned military bunkers. You will then head to the seaplane port in Sausalito to fly with the hawks above the bay.
Half Hour Seaplane Flight over the Bay
Your expert pilot will lead you over the Marin headlands before crossing over the historic Golden Gate Bridge. Glide over the sights of Downtown San Francisco including the Oracle Park and the Chase Center, the respective home of the San Francisco Giants and Golden State Warriors. As you head back over the bay, you will head right over Alcatraz Island before landing back in Sausalito.
Organic Lunch, Sausalito, and San Francisco Ferry
On your return we will pop the cork on a champagne toast to enjoy a locally-sourced, organic lunch in the Marin sunshine and talk over the day’s adventure. Finally, you will be dropped off in Sausalito to enjoy the village’s arty shops, funky houseboats, and charming cafes before boarding a ferry back to San Francisco’s Pier 39.

Awesome tour, even some of the dad jokes where OK, and to be honest we added a couple ourselves for good measure. Eric was brilliant, we have done a couple of these small tours in Alaska and would recommend people searching out the smaller tour people, they do a massive job.
The Best Day Ever!
An amazing time indeed! Our guide was lovely and picked us up right at our Air bnb. The plane was soooo cool, my kids want to be pilots now! That's not even mentioning that we got to see the Redwoods so up close! Can't recommend enough
