Beat the crowds in Venice with this tour that takes you past the lines of St Mark's Basilica. After you'll explore St. Mark's Square and the surrounding side streets. The last hour of the tour will contiue by boat, the way Venice was meant to be seen! You'll explore the side canals and pass by the last gondola maker in Venice!

St. Mark's Basilica & Square (2 hours)
Skip the line VIP access is included for St. Mark's Basilica with our local guide. The "Basilica di San Marco" is also referred to as the church of gold. You'll notice that immidaitely upon walking in. After a brief explanation, our guide will bring you to a restricted area above the main church. Here you'll see Venice's famous four bronze horses. They are considered to be the oldest in the world dating back to the 4th century B.C. From here you'll be taken up to the rarely visited rooftop terrace to take in one of the most incredible views Italy has to offer.
St. Mark's Square is one of the most sought-after destinations in all of Italy. Your guide will explain the architetures and folklore surrounding this massive and iconic piazza.
Canal Boat Ride (1 hour)
After the walking portion of this tour we'll take you to see Venice as it should be seen, on the water!
As you step onto the boat, you will be whisked away into the timeless world that is Venice. You'll cruise through the side canals on a private boat reserved especially for our group. This is a great chance to see a large amount of Venice in a very stylish way.
As you work your way down the side canals, you will get a better understanding of how Venetians live their everyday life and since they are on little islands, how important boats actually are to them. You will then turn onto the Grand Canal where the beauty becomes jaw-dropping. This extremely wide canal is almost a museum within itself. Your neck will be turning left and right constantly as you see one beautiful palace after another. Another highlight is passing by one of the last Gondola Workshops in Venice, where these iconic boats are still made by hand!
After getting off the boat, you will then venture into more exploration of the city center. You will learn more about the local life of Venetians, as your expert guide brings you through the labyrinth streets and tells you many stories about the rich history of this area.
Our expert local guide will bring the city to life by detailing stories and the rich history that will make your experience unique, and if you don't fall in love with Venice after this walking and boat tour, we will eat a gondolier's hat!
