Kelly L - Marlton, NJ July 2015

We tour'd in July 2015 and it was amazing! Matteo was such a great tour director. He got us in touch with the real Italy. I have to go city by city on this one. Venice was very crowded, i'll admit, but somehow we always ended up a step ahead of the crowds. We had special entrance to the St Mark's church in the main square and the Burano day made me feel like a VIP. Going on private boat to a small island off the coast of another Island! It was really fun and well organized. Professional stuff. Florence was my favorite. We stayed 10 minutes walk from the main church and our hotel was really nice - used to be a convent or something. Matteo traveled with us the whole time, but Elena was our local Florence guide. I LOVE YOU Elena! She made us feel so at home and you could tell she wasn't in this business for money - she truly loved and wanted everyone to get in touch with the local culture. Just a really great person that made the group so comfortable. Rome is TRGs main city and it shows. Special entrance to the Vatican and Colosseum. We walked on the Arena where gladiators fought and nobody else was aloud to. Food was out of this world too. I'll be honest - i wouldn't have stopped myself at some of these places, but Matteo dragged us in and I can't stop thanking him. Seriously the best meal of my life in Rome at this little whole in the wall. Simple slow cooked food. Sorrento was a dream as well. Our hotel had a great pool and right in the middle of all the action. We had amazing food down there and drank plenty of Limoncello (spelling?). This was a nice relaxing part of our trip at the end. I am happy it was the last destination. Beyond the destinations.. these guys take care of everything. They think of everything and plan out every detail. You will feel like your kids must have felt like when they went on vacation with you!

Sarah W. - Concord, NC June 2015

My husband and I had never been to Italy before so we wanted to see as much as we could. So we reached out to The Roman Guy about their guided vacations and from beginning to end everything was so wonderful, we will never go to another tour company for Italy stuff. The customer service from the very beginning sold us. We communicated through email and The Roman Guy was very prompt and thorough with response. We ultimately chose to do the Dolce Vita tour and it was amazing! The vacation include so many tours while providing time for my husband and I to enjoy each city on our own. When The Roman Guy advertises expert guides they mean it! All the guides for each tour knew their stuff and were very engaging. The tours are not the typical just spit out facts tours. The tours give the facts while having a great time! I would have to say one of the best parts to the tours and the vacation was the exclusivity of it all. In each tour there was no more than 14 people and they were all our fellow travelers. Thank you to The Roman Guy for showing my husband and I a wonderful time in Italy and treating us so well!

Daniel C. - Denver, CO September 2014

I went on the Dolce tour with a few of my friends and it was amazing! Group travel is the way to do it especially with The Roman Guy. I was very impressed with the itinerary that was put together. We did many tours and each dinner that was provided had delicious food and wine. I was most impressed with the quality of the hotels. In each city the rooms were very nice and hotels were walking distance from nice restaurants and shopping areas. I would definitely recommend this tour because you see all the main cities in Italy!

Andrea F. - NJ November 2016

That is hard as almost everything was wonderful! I think having the chance to spend several days in the Tuscan countryside would be at the top of the favorites list and using a home base to visit so many different towns and vineyards from there. Also near the top would be the wonderful people who work with and for The Roman Guy. Everyone was friendly, helpful and in several cases went way above and beyond to be of help to my husband Jack and ensure he was able to have the full experience even with his physical limitations. Angelica would be at the top of that list, as would Elena our local guide in Florence, Mario our driver for 2 days in Tuscany , Gina in the Rome office who made sure all the plans were perfect and answered everyone of our thousands of questions and Brandon for his kindness when we both got sick in Rome near the end of our trip. The vineyard visit in Chianti was perfect!

Kimberly K. - NY November 2016

Our tour guide Guisippee was wonderful! He was wonderful and attentive. In addition, he had multiple challenges due to dietary issues, and he handled those obstacles with grace by communicating with the restaurant and hotel staff to ensure that the travelers were well taken care of. I believe that Florence was my favorite city. The Colosseum dungeon tour and Vatican experience was amazing. And again, we were blessed with a magnificent tour guide.

Sheryl B. - FL November 2016

My favorite experience was the Vineyard tours, tasting wine, homemade Olive Oil and Baslamic Vinegar. I enjoyed seeing how the different wineries created their brand of wine. Gisseppe our tour guide was awesome too. I don't think it would have been that great of a trip without him. He was very knowledgeable and very patience with us Americans. It was an awesome trip and I can't wait to come back to Italy soon.
