Edinburgh
Starting off in Edinburgh we’ll hear about castles, palaces and kings, roam the royal mile and learn a bit about the relationship between Scotland and England, how they came together and how things are today. Then we’ll head a little further north to the city of Stirling which was once Scotland’s capital, and find out about the Wallace monument, which celebrates the life and deeds of William Wallace during the Wars of Independence.
Highlands
We’ll check out the highlands to take in some of the spectacular countryside Scotland is known for. First, the valley of Glencoe, which resides inside a gigantic super-volcano, where you’ll hear about the infamous Glencoe massacre. Then to loch ness to find out more about the legend of the loch ness monster.
Islands
Scotland has around 800 islands – we’re just going to visit 5 of them. Iona, Skye, Lewis, Orkney, and Shetland. Ancient thousand-year-old structures are found in these remote islands, whose cultures are very different from those found on the Scottish mainland, and whose untamed landscape is both awe-inspiring and romantic. Highlights include Iona, the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland, the fairy pools of Skye, and the Viking influences on Orkney and Shetland.
Glasgow
We’ll finish the tour in Glasgow, Scotland’s biggest city. The Glasgow Cathedral is the oldest Cathedral on mainland Scotland and is the burial place of St Mungo, Glasgow’s patron Saint. We’ll also see Glasgow’s amazing architecture and famous street art and also delve into the darker side of the city’s slave trade history.

HIghland cities, hghlands and islands
We've been to Scotland twice and love exploring there. This tour was fun as it brought back fun memories and shared areas we have not ventured to yet.

Scotland Virtual tour January 10, 2021
Excellent virtual tour. Our family in various parts of the US enjoyed revisiting some of our favorite places in Scotland. It was also nice to be introduced to some new places by our native Scottish guide. She was very professional and knowledgeable. We all hope to return before long. “Haste Ye Back”!
