Meet Your Guide Across from the Vatican Museums Entrance
Your day begins outside the Vatican Museums where you will meet your friendly guide, skip the line, and head into the Vatican for your breakfast experience. Once through security, you will head right to the Pinecone Courtyard for a breakfast spread laid out for your enjoyment.
Breakfast at the Vatican
An experience unlike any other, only a very limited amount of tour operators have access to provide this VIP tour. Enjoy a coffee and a continental breakfast while your guide explains the Sistine Chapel as speaking inside the Chapel is strictly prohibited.
Galleries of the Tapestries, Maps, and Candelabras
Once finished with breakfast, you will see the main galleries of the Vatican Museums. In the Gallery of the Tapestries, learn about the art of Flemish weaving and how these depictions of Renaissance works are equally as impressive as the originals.
Next, in the Gallery of the Maps, your guide will lead you to a sense of amazement. Commissioned in 1580 by Pope Gregory XIII, the room is covered by massive and intricately researched maps of Italy. Painted four centuries before the invention of GPS technology, the artisan cartography in the Gallery of Maps is unmatched.
The last room before reaching the Sistine Chapel is the Gallery of the Candelabra. A gallery of much more than just candle holders, learn why these lavish galleries were commissioned by Pope's throughout history.
Michelangelo's masterpiece is one of the most famous works of art in the world. Nearly 25,000 people a day visit the Sistine Chapel. Luckily, with this tour you will beat the vast majority of them. Seeing the Chapel without the crowds can be a magical experience. Remember that photography and speaking in the chapel is not permitted. This is necessary to maintain the tranquility of the holy site and preserve the painting for posterity.
In the Sistine Chapel, you will see Michelangelo's depiction of biblical stories from The Creation of Adam to The Last Judgement. You will have plenty of time to experience the Chapel in full without the distraction of hundreds of people around you.
One of the true Renaissance masters, Raphael's influence is present throughout the Vatican Museums. In the Raphael Rooms, you will see the gallery where some of his greatest works were painted. See Raphael's School of Athens, the work also found on your tickets to the Vatican Museums.
From the Raphael Rooms, you will enter the Borgia Apartments. This opulent wing of the Vatican was the personal bedroom of the Borgia Pope Alexander VI. These luxurious galleries show the vast wealth of the Catholic Church at end of the 15th century. Here you will also see the earliest known depiction of Native Americans in Europe.
Saint Peter's Basilica
After a quick return trip into the Sistine Chapel, you will head through the corridor directly to St. Peter's Basilica. Allowing you to skip past the line outside the Basilica, your tour will end with a guided overview of the great church. Here you will see Michelangelo's Pieta and well as Bernini's great canopy over the alter, the Baldacchino.

Great visit to the Vatican
We had a wonderful tour with Raffa. She was very knowledgeable about the Vatican and the history of Roma. We were very fortunate to have her as our guide. Breakfast at the Vatican was an added bonus. Thank you all and happy New Year.
Wow! What an experience!
Incredible! We got in before the massive crowds that were already lined up. We got to have breakfast in this stunning courtyard that thankfully was heated as it was a chilly morning. The Vatican tour was great, our guide was absolutely wonderful. Can't recommend enough
