Thingvellir National Park

Start your day with a cracking good time as you straddle the rift in the earth where the American and Eurasian continents are continually shifting. What else is so cool at this national park in Iceland? Well, it’s where Iceland's parliament held their regular meetings from 930 to 1798! This incredible landscape will come to life as you learn how important it is to Icelanders, and not just for its UNESCO World Heritage status.

Geysir and Strokkur

It’d be easy to wonder for a moment if you’re in Yellowstone National Park. The geysers here in Iceland are certainly worth stopping at to see how powerful these superheated natural wonders are. Your guide will time it perfectly so you can watch Stokkur erupt its usual 98 feet (30 meters). Make sure you’re capturing the moment on video!

Gullfoss Falls

There are plenty of waterfalls to see in the land of fire and ice. But Gullfoss is one of our favorites in this area. It’s sometimes called the golden waterfall for the beautiful hue when the sun hits it just right. Learn about the area around this 100-foot waterfall that has carved out a rugged canyon for centuries. A day trip of the Golden Circle isn't complete without views of this staggering site.

Kerid Volcano Crater

As if those three stops weren’t enough, we’re also including another view you can’t miss on your way to the Blue Lagoon. The Kerid Volcanic Crater is thought to be 3,000 years old, and your guide will know just where to get a great view of this crater. Your entry ticket is included so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

Blue Lagoon

Your final stop is the Blue Lagoon, and that’s lucky for you. Unless you’re staying here, entry tickets can sell out months in advance, but your tickets are guaranteed when you book this tour. Bring your swimming suit and leave your phone behind as you dip into the geothermally heated pools that will mesmerize you. The aqua blue hues against the black obsidian rocks are all they’re hyped up to be.

After a couple of hours here, your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Reykjavik with plenty of recommendations for a late dinner.
