When you set your eyes on Venice it's easy to realize that you are in one of the most stunning places on Earth.  The challenge is to find activities suitable for children, in order to get them to appreciate this fantastic and unique city!  This is why The Roman Guy has created an immersive tour, which is specially designed for family's with children until the age of 14 years old, but is interesting for the adults too. It will keep the young ones involved and happy, and wishing to come back again!

San Marco Piazza & Basilica

One of the most famous landmarks in all of Italy is also known as the "Church of Gold”!  The local expert guide will explain all you need to know about this incredible church, and there will be plenty of hidden symbols for the kids to locate, including the famous symbol of the city of Venice! Venice tours by locals are the best way to go, as you will discover all sorts of treasures many other visitors won’t!

View from the top

Not only will you stop in front of the Basilica, but you will also get to explore the inside and climb up to the terrace.  Here you can admire the 2nd-Century B.C. ancient sculpture of the Bronze horses, and have a splendid view of the city on the lagoon.

Bridge of Sighs

One of the most famous bridges in the world served a very interesting purpose.  You will learn the story behind it, and the kids will need to look for some special clues, including discovering a tomb of a national hero of Venice.

Mask Shop

We will then stop at a mask shop where the guide with the help of an expert will explain the history that links Venice with festivities that include wearing masks, especially the carnival.  Kids will have a chance to try out masks and take photos wearing them.

Venetian Comics

Your next stop will be a famous bookshop where the kids (and the adults) will learn about the history of comics in Venice, as well as learning about the writers who worked for Disney as well!  Plenty of clues to look for in here!

Marco Polo's House

This famous traveler and explorer is one of the most famous citizens of Venice ever, and your kids are following in his footsteps by exploring his home town!

Rialto district

All kinds of interesting things await us here, from a bridge that is made into a shopping street, to market places and even clocks that have only hands for hours and not for minutes.  Pay good attention so you don't miss out on any clues, there is a prize at the end!

Why take this tour

This tour is very interactive and immersive for children.  Instead of just listening to a guide, the kids are looking, searching and answering questions.  At the same time, the parents can enjoy the sites and the stories of the guide just as much as their little ones.  At the end of this Venice tour, your children will receive a special little prize for all their discoveries along the way.  A great way for the whole family to see Venice in a fun way!
