We felt as if we really needed to have a tour group for us to learn more about Rome and Venice while we were in these cities. We had a private tour of the Vatican, as well as a tour of St Mark's and Venice. The tour guides were absolutely first-rate: most of them either locals or expats with a long personal history in the area, and all of them with an excellent command of English so there we could understand everything (plus learn a lot about the local culture, arts, etc.) What I can say is this: The Roman Guy helped make our vacation AWESOME, and can't recommend them enough. When we go back to Italy, we are going to once again look at The Roman Guy offerings and book more tours!..more
